There will be so much to see in the village this weekend as we remember those who died in the First World War.

The walk has been designed to help us understand more about how the ‘Great War’ 1914-1918 affected people in our village.

Maps can be picked up from the church, doctor’s, shops & pubs and will guide you around the village so you can see where the men who died had lived in the village and should be available until the end of 2018

The children have also painted stones which are laid out along the path from the school to the War Memorial

And ladies throughout the village have been busy knitting and crocheting Poppies for a Remembrance Wall and to display around the village. As you can see a tremendous amount of work went into everything from the people making the poppies to those who sowed everything together and then put them up around the village.  .
