Last year Bruno and his family traveled to Shutka in Macedonia where people live mainly in shacks with no running water and sometimes no electricity.

There primary mission was to bring some entertainment to the local Christian preschool where 3 ladies are doing tremendous work teaching 3 to 5 year old’s to read and write.  During the day in addition to their lessons the children learn about Jesus, play games and are given a meal which might be the only proper meal they receive.

Bruno  and his family took pencils and organized face painting sessions they also put on acting classes telling bible stories and everyone was welcome to go and join in the activities young and old.

With the help of the headmistress they also helped 2 families who were in real difficulties., Bruno and his family funded the work to improve their accommodation putting a front door and glass windows in 1 home and for the other family they funded a door and a new roof.

Bruno and his family are planning to return again later this year and St Michael & All Angels Church has provided £500 to support their work and on the 27th April there was a fundraising concert to raise additional funds to help further their work in Shutka.

We would like to thank all the musicians who provided a wonderful evening of entertainment as you can see there was a wide range of music.

We would also like to thank everyone who supported the event and help raise a further £500 for the work in Macedonia and an additonal £154.08 which will go to local good causes.

And the night couldn’t have gone ahead without the hard work of the helpers who worked tirelessly before, during and after the event not just organising the event but also by providing a wonderful array of food and drink for everyone.
