Holiday time is very difficult for struggling families… there are child-care issues for working parents and extra meals to find every day when there are no school meals…
And then there is the issue of disappointment when families cannot afford day trips or a week away…
And already ‘back to school’ signs are in the shops & the expectation of new uniforms!!!
We can’t hope to solve all these problems, but regular giving to our Food Bank Boxes in each of our churches really does help & maybe the odd pack of children’s socks or knickers might be an idea.
