During the Heritage weekend the church will be open between 1pm & 4 pm please come and look around our lovely grade 2 listed church.
You will be made most welcome with guides if you would like to learn a bit more about the history of the building or just take a booklet on the church and wander around at your own pace.
There is a children’s quiz to keep them interested as they walk around or a play area if they prefer.
We have quiet areas for prayer or reflection both inside the church and outside if you prefer.
The church is wheelchair accessible and there is a disabled toilet.
If you are trying to find the grave of a relative we have an alphabetical surname list for the graveyard please speak to Stan Hazlewood one of our church wardens who can explain the work we are currently undertaking to complete a database of the graveyard. As we look to the long term sustainability of our graveyard we are keen to hear peoples comments and suggestions so please come and chat to us.
After looking around the church take time to wander around Bishop Chester’s wood with playground equipment and the Croft Field which is dog friendly, before enjoying a wander around the lovely ancient village of Croston.
