During Maghull U3A’s walking tour of Croston Roy Websdell gave them a guided tour of St Michael & All Angels church and having grown up in the village he could also tell them quite a lot about the history of the village as well.
Roy began with a walk around the outside the church
before moving inside the church.
Roy (back to the camera)proved to be a good guide and was able to answer most questions.
After the tour the U3A enjoyed a bit of Croston hospitality with a cup of tea and biscuits before posing for a group photo and continuing their walk around the visit.
During the refreshments we had to have a chance to find out about all the activities and holidays U3A take part in.
