Despite the weather forecast for rain we were blessed with a lovely morning as people from the villages of our United Benefice came to Mawdesley Millennium Green at 7.00 am to rejoice and celebrate Christ’s resurrection.

It was lovely to see so many turn out at such an early hour and as you can be see we were also joined by a dog,

for an open air service and to receive communion with a melody of birdsong in the background making it a truly memorable way to enjoy the beginning of Easter Morning.

Reverend Michael only joined our United Benefice at the end of last year so hasn’t had a lot of time to organise today’s open air service so the focus was on our 3 parishes but he has welcomed the suggestion that in the future it is an ecumenical event where Christians from all denominations celebrate together the good news of The Risen Christ.
