We are very pleased to announce that Preston & South Ribble Street Pastors has won the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service!

The Queen’s Award is known as the MBE for Volunteer Groups.

This award is a brilliant recognition for all their volunteers – past and present – who have given so much of the their time, energy and compassion to serve those most in need in St Matthew’s and the City Centre.

Bill Dawson one of our Church Wardens is an active member of the Street Pastors and is always happy to answer any questions people may have about the work they do.

The Preston & South Ribble Street Pastors Facebook page has the news and a video clip.

2 members of the Street Pastors will attend a Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace and there will be a formal presentation of the award later on this summer in Preston.
