Roy Enjoys a Trip to Anfield

Roy a member of Mawdesley’s congregation received 2 hospitality tickets to watch his beloved team Burnley play Liverpool and was glad to have the company of Janet Maggs a Liverpool supporter and Reader in the United Benefice in the hope he could watch his team win.

The Liverpool players teased Roy by letting Burnley score first, but they only let him have 30 minutes of joy before their class showed and they went on to win.

Despite the result Roy had a great day and he tells us that the staff really took good care of him, a great day for the memory bank.
