Members of our 3 churches were up early to Join Reverend Janet at Bishop’s House to celebrate Morning Prayer and communion with Bishop Julian, Archdeacon John and other members of clergy.
During the service Bishop Julian licensed Reverend Janet as Associate Priest to our United Benefice, this completes all the legal formalities.
We wish to thank Bishop Julian for inviting us to join him for worship in his official residence and for making us feel so welcome.
After the service we discussed Janet’s future ministry in our 3 churches and the appointment of a new rector later this year. 2015 looks to be an eventful year as we work with our new clergy to develop our ministry and embrace the new diocesan vision which is due to be agreed by Synod next month.
