Bretheton enjoy the premier of the United Benefice Puppets, if you missed the event don’t worry they are joining us on the 11th December for the Family Service at Croston 09:15 and the Christingle Service at Mawdesley 16:00 on the same day.

Children, teachers and parents from  St Peter’s Church of England School and the puppets will be joining us for our Christingle Service at 4:00pm on Sunday in Mawdesley.

A lovely service which is enjoyed by everyone and the children really enjoy receiving their very own Christingle orange to take home after we light the candles and put the lights out.

We are grateful to St Peter’s & Richard Durning schools for all their hard work raising money for the Children’s Society & St Peter’s School for organising the music and screen displays for the service. Without their enthusiasm and the support of all the staff the service wouldn’t be the wonderful event it is every year.

Radio Lancashire will come to join us at the Sports Club in Croston for ‘Lancashire Sings Christmas’
on Thursday 15th Dec. Between 7 and 8 pm (live on air).

We don’t know all the detail yet but it should be a great community celebration almost 12 months after the Sports Club was full with people co-ordinating the response to the floods in Croston.
