On Sunday 27th September we will be celebrating not only the feast day of St Michael & All Angles but Gift Day at each of our churches. What is a Gift Day I hear you ask? Well, it is simply an opportunity to reflect on how we give to God all that is of God and comes from God. So, that is our time and energies in volunteering in any way we possibly can, praying about our weekly / monthly offering (giving) and adjusting the amount if we feel able to do so, and considering making a one-off gift to a particular church for a missional purchase that the church would not otherwise have been able to consider buying. At our Joint service on Sunday 30th August and the following week, envelopes will be given out with a letter explaining about Gift Day. The letter also shares with you the missional work that already takes place within the parish, along with items or works that the wardens feel would enhance the mission in that church. Your gift will go to support the church you attend regularly. Please check the table in church for your envelope and letter, and we invite you to pray over the three opportunities for giving laid before us and respond as you feel led.
