This year’s appeal will support a range of projects in another of our link Dioceses, the Free State in South Africa.
Bishop Dintoe, Bishop of the Free State, has identified some priorities which our appeal
can support. These are: Training and formation of vocation candidates and clergy; Developing ministry to boys and young men; Assisting the Mothers’ Union and the Diocesan Gender Coordinator in Gender Based Violence workshops; and Carrying out of environmental workshops in safeguarding the sanctity of the earth.
The Harvest Appeal Pedal-along – To publicise the Harvest Appeal, on October 17th Bishop Philip is going to go on a bike ride in which I will visit and pray in one school or church in every single one of our 14 Deaneries. The schedule will be publicised in advance in the hope that some of you might be able to join him for prayer.
