The PCC met on Tuesday evening and were led through the first session of the ‘Leading your Church into Growth’ material by the team who have been attending Whalley Abbey for the Diocese training. We have a very hard working PCC who thought about what the culture of a church can say to those who may be passing by or thinking about which church to attend. Then looked at and discussed each of our churches and how we can change our culture to become even more welcoming and inclusive. We looked at the numbers of people who attended church in 2022 and how many attend today and what we think or hope will be our congregations in 3 years time. We even wondered how we could increase these numbers further, trusting God for the growth of his church and the faith of those who attend. We have so much to be positive about and as we delve further into this material there will be many things for us all to be involved in as we work together to spread the Good News of Jesus in our villages and beyond.
