I give thanks for the retired clergy who have supported the Parish through leading, preaching and presiding at services for us when I am unable to be in church. Thinking particularly of Wednesday’s when I have needed to be at diocesan meetings and holiday cover. There are times when these wonderful people have not been available, due to them covering the periods of Interregnum at a number of other churches in the deanery. You will have noticed that it has on occasion been necessary to change a Holy Communion service to Morning Worship when retired clergy have not been available and I thank Janet Maggs for leading and preaching at additional services when this has been the case. Tasha does an amazing job of contacting retired clergy for their availability when we need them.
