Are you wondering how you can serve God in a new way? Blackburn Diocese has a superb offer for anyone wishing to learn new skills that will enable them to serve their church and community. There are different routes this training may take and this depend on what you think you may be being encouraged by God to take a look at. Tasha, one of the wardens at St John’s Bretherton, is currently training on the ALM (Authorised Lay Ministry) course and has chosen the Worship, Children & Youth Ministry electives alongside the core module. In addition to authorised ministries there are licensed ministries such as LLM (Local Lay Ministry), Anna Chaplaincy (working with older generations) and pathways towards ordination discernment. The diocese website Lay Majority Ministry Framework | The Diocese of Blackburn explains these different ministries very clearly or have a conversation with Revd Tracy who will be able to offer support, encouragement and guidance.
